Cain Farms presents the Annual Private Treaty Web Site Sale.  This is a special opportunity to purchase our BEST purebred Hampshire gilts {You pick one, we keep one - high bidder wins choice}.  Additionally, we will be offering our best purebred and crossbred barrows and gilts.  2 special YORK GILTS and 1 special York barrow are found under the Cross Gilt & Cross Barrow tab, respectively.  Bidding will begin March 31, 2008 and end April 5, 2008 at 4:00 P.M., CST.  All contending bidders will have one last chance to increase bid.  Additional bidding information follows:

All bids must include:  Name, Address, Phone number (number available on April 5), and email address (if applicable), Lot number(s), Bid amount(s).   NO BUYER's PREMIUM!  Purchase Price = Bid Price.
Minimum bid increment: $150 - $500 = $25.00      $500 - up = $50

All bids will be confirmed as soon as possible by assigning each bidder a buyer's number via phone call or email.  Bidders will be able to track their bids on the web site each day.  Every night at 6:30 PM CST, we will post the high bid and buyer's number next to each prospect.

We are making the offering in this manner in an effort to be as fair as possible to all who are interested in our best showpig prospects.  At the close of the web site sale (April 5 @ 4:00 PM, CST), we will contact all high bidders and contending bidders.  All contending bidders will have the opportunity to raise their bid -or- bid on any other prospect in the offering with a lower sale price.  We will go through the entire offering in this manner: highest sale price to lowest sale price.  The sale will be completed as soon as possible, so let us know if you will be unavailable on April 5 and we will try to accommodate any special circumstances.  Normally takes 2 to 3 days to finalize the sale.  We will close bids on Hampshire gilts (1st); cross gilts, cross barrows, and purebred hamp barrows will follow.

Delivery will be available to many locations throughout the United States, including California, Utah, & Ohio.  Call for specific destinations.
